International Women's Day | tutor2u Sociology

International Women’s Day took place last Thursday and around the world protests as well as celebrations were held to mark the day.

In some countries, services were affected as some female workers walked out to strike against wage inequality and domestic violence

This article and the IWD website could be used extensively in Sociology, including within the topics of Culture and Identity, Theory and Methods and Families and Households.

And for any students who ask, there is also an International Men's Day on November 19th.
